Summary
The Junior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reports. This role is ideal for someone who is high-energy, highly organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Although the role has a broad scope, it offers excellent work-life balance, steady hours, and flexibility.
Responsibilities
Manage sales recognition and purchase recognition
Handle accounts receivable, including timely application of payments, support for collections, and invoice generation
Manage accounts payable, including assembling, reviewing, and verifying invoices, and reconciling transactions
Administer sales commissions for representatives and distributors
Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Maintain asset management and conduct inventory and COGS analysis
Support full-cycle month-end and quarter-end closing processes, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger adjustments, and financial reporting
Assist with sales and use tax filings
Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Provide administrative support such as scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, conducting research, and preparing reports
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
Skills and Qualifications
3–4 years of related experience
Bilingual in Korean highly preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
Master’s degree in Accounting preferred
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations
Experience with ERP systems highly preferred
QuickBooks experience preferred
Strong work ethic and willingness to work additional hours when needed to meet deadlines
Experience working with a Korean-based company is a plus
